The American Theatre is looking for confident and efficient candidates for part-time, flexibly scheduled Front of House Managers.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
The Front of House Manager is the liaison between the stage and production staff, the box office, and the audience.
The House Manager is responsible for the front of house experience regarding patron management, lobby functions, concessions oversight and merchandise oversight, and audience access to theatre spaces.
Because House Manager deals directly with the audience members, the House Manager is the primary representative of the Theatre and the Box Office on the night of an event.
The House Manager is first and foremost responsible for the safety of all patrons.
Position is mostly evenings and weekend -- primarily on Saturday Nights.
Front of House Managers arrive at the theatre roughly 2 hours before a show and stay until the patrons are gone and theatre is locked and secured.
An evening typically consists of between 5 to 6 hours per evening.
This is part-time position and only provides between 15-30 hours per month.
This is side job to supplement a full-time job or perfect for a retired person looking for a small part-time opportunity.
