* *Description:* The Peninsula Community Care Center is looking for a Dedicated, Flexible and Innovative Leader to manage and ensure effective overall daily operations of services and programs being delivered.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to analyze regulations as related to policies and procedures, outstanding leadership and decision making skills and an overall ability to build relationships with teammates and community organizations.
Flexibility is essential while accomplishing daily operations while maximizing human resources.
Additionally, a love and passion for assisting developmentally disabled adults through a person-centered approach.
The Ex.
Director of Operations serves as the leader driving the implementation of person-centered services of The Peninsula Community Care Center.
The Ex.
Director of Operations is responsible for operational performance as well as planning, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring services in collaboration with the Ex.
Director of Programs.
*Essential Responsibilities:* * Develop and implement Person-Centered Support Plans and Practices with individuals supported, staff, representatives and case managers.
* Provide leadership and development regarding regulatory requirements from DBHDS and policies and procedures of The Peninsula Community Care Center.
* Initiate and plan staffing needs in collaboration with Ex.
Dir.
of Programs.
* Ensure daily staffing coverage for all shifts; to include up to date needed trainings and background checks are current.
* Develop and oversee and ensure all Support Log documentation, Person Centered Plans, MAR, Quarterly Reviews are accurate and in compliance * Schedule needed meetings for Person-Centered Planning with community service boards , families and other stakeholders in a timely manner to avoid gaps in services.
* Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all regulatory requirements of: HCBS, Human Rights, DBHDS Licensing, Medicaid and other regulatory bodies to remain in compliance.
* *Decision-making:* must be able to make smart and efficient decisions when faced with scenarios that affect the company’s overall goals and objectives.
Making the best choices that positively affect a company can include financial, staffing, or operational decisions like inventory management and cost.
* *Leadership:* leads the quality improvement plan and risk management of the organization and reviews data to guide decision making.
* *Communication: *brings together different people and roles to work toward one common goal.
As a result, communicating the needs of managers to key decision-makers in the company is an essential skill, as is informing new policies and procedures created by executives to the managers that implement them.
Collaborates with Ex.
Director of Programs.
* Provide feedback (oral and written) to staff and review of competencies of Direct Support Professional Training.
(To include annual assessment) * Plan and initiate needed hiring in accordance with needs of the organization.
* Attend quarterly leadership meetings for Region 5 and report to the CEO highlights of meetings and potential impacts on the organization in a bi-weekly report.
* Oversee, implement and review Quality Improvement and Risk Management reports daily, quarterly and annually addressing any areas of needed concern.
* Understand and complete all reports regarding Serious Incidents.
* Ensure all Incident Reports, Improvement Tools; Quality and Risk Management reporting tools are complete and up to date.
* Work positively and cooperatively with community services board and other agencies.
* Develop and submit reports in a timely manner into various platforms to include but not limited to: WAMS and CHRIS * Oversee all aspects of individuals' care-health and safety are paramount.
* Provide collaborative leadership with the administrative team.
* Direct the hiring and training activities of all staff.
* Optimize business resources ensuring all needed supplies are replenished and available.
* Facilitate meetings with staff, families and consumers * Provide leadership to personnel, maximize staffing resources, and outcomes for support of Developmentally Disabled Adults (primary diagnosis of IDD and other mental health diagnosis) individuals with primary psychiatric disorders * Partner with others to achieve positive outcomes for the organization.
* Ability to problem solve and effectively communicate with all; must have excellent inter-personal relationship skills.
* Ability to put the needs of the individuals and organization first in all decision making.
* Report directly to the CEO.
Provide a 1- page weekly report highlighting successes, challenges and resolutions.
*Requirements of the Ex.
Director of Operations:* Must have *ONE *of the Following Credentials: * Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling or psychology), OR * Masters's degree in Leadership, * Clinical psychologist, OR * Licensed occupational therapist, OR * Licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), OR * Licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC).
