General Function:
Under the supervision of the designated supervisor and in harmony with the mission and purpose of the established policies and goals of the YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas, the Building/Field Supervisor shall be responsible for monitoring all aspects of a Sports Program and procedures of the YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas.
Qualifications:
1.
Minimum of 21 years of age.
2.
Minimum of one-year experience in a related field; YMCA experience preferred.
3.
Previous customer service experience.
4.
Demonstrates interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
5.
Certification in CPR/First Aid/AED/O2 required prior to first day of work.
6.
Complete and maintain required trainings to include but not limited to: New Employee Orientation (NEO), Bloodborne Pathogens, Child Abuse Prevention (CAP), and Sexual Harassment upon hire and annually thereafter.
7.
Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check, sex offender registry check, and Child Protective Services check
Essential Functions

Supervise activities at site(s) and surrounding areas to ensure safety and welfare of users.
5.
Report and monitor all mechanical and equipment problems.
Input maintenance requests in association maintenance software.
6.
Set up equipment, and returns equipment to storage.
Ensure cleanliness and safety of facilities and equipment.
7.
Take the lead in problem solving building situations during the work shift.
8.
Enforces all rules, regulations and policies, maintains documentation and reports incidents and accidents.
9.
Maintain proper inventory of all sports equipment and return to YMCA once season is complete, if necessary.
10.
Lining and maintaining fields and insuring all equipment is safe.
11.
Maintain the cleanliness of the site before leaving each game or practice.
12.
Assist and evaluate all programs to determine participant needs and possible areas of improvement or growth.
13.
Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.
14.
Follow department association standards.
15.
Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
16.
Wear staff uniform and name tag, or professional attire when appropriate.
17.
Act as a leader in emergency situations.
Report any accidents or incidents according to Emergency Communication Action Plan.
18.
Ensure all members, guests, and program participants are in a safe environment and actively follow branch Emergency Operations Plan (EOP).
19.
Carry out other related duties as deemed necessary by the Program Supervisor and branch administration to ensure an excellent member experience.
