Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Manager as this position would be supporting the Air Operations Center (AOC) program, which is within the USAF Digital Directorate and located at Langley AFB, VA.
WORK LOCATION: Langley AFB, VA JOB STATUS: Full time; salaried RESPONSIBILITIES: As a member of the AOC Weapon Systems (WS) Logistics team, the employee will support, coordinate, and direct program activities from the procurement stage to the shipment of products.
Provide logistics/sustainment capabilities across all aspects of the AOC WS 10.
1 program with emphasis on providing technical logistics/sustainment support to senior leadership.
Provide logistics and sustainment inputs to acquisition documents such as Statements of Objectives, Requests for Proposals, Engineering Change Proposals, Program Management Plans, ILSPs, SOWs, PWSs, CDRLs, SEPs, LCMPs, Technical Manuals (TMs), etc.
Participate in functional analysis during Engineering Change Request activities.
Direct/active participation and lead as appropriate in logistics/sustainment technical discussions/meetings both internally and externally with senior leadership and OEM partners.
Provide support to government analyses, development of options, analysis of each option, and recommended solutions with in-depth technical justification and background.
Provide technical support to the AOC WS 10.
1 technical oversight of the Prime contractor's logistics support performance Assist with the inventory, cost estimation and sustainment for multiple AOC WS locations (23 locations worldwide) in accordance with the AOC WS fielding schedule.
Analyzing contractual commitments to vendors, customer specifications, design changes and other data relevant to the product under procurement process, Planning innovative logistic techniques and developing logistic program activities throughout the life-cycle of product starting from the conceptual level to final delivery to the customer.
Documenting the methods and noting the changes that take place during the revisions in each logistics operation.
QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS, 8 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 3 of which must be in the DoD OR, 10 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, 5 of which must be in the DoD.
Have a knowledge of IT system components including HW, SW and applications.
Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to work in a multi-disciplined environment with an adaptive personality.
Candidate should have excellent communication skills - both oral and written - and possess analytical skills to identify and fault isolate problems/issues, accurately assess relevance of information, generate, and evaluate alternatives, and provide solution recommendations Candidate must have an active US security clearance.
