We have an immediate opening for an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations at our Flagship restaurant, Mango Mangeaux.
Mango Mangeaux is a bistro-style restaurant with a scratch kitchen that seats approximately 75 which includes outdoor seating, patio, parklet and rooftop seating.
Our cuisine is a fusion of French, Creole and NeoSoul.
You will be responsible for tracking inventory and ordering supplies, managing daily preparation of menu items, scheduling staff to ensure there is sufficient coverage during each shift, and monitoring the flow of business during each meal service.
At the close of each shift, you will reconcile receipts, cash intake, and tips, deposit cash and checks and lock up financial documents in the safe.
Our ideal candidate has at least five years of industry experience, including supervisory roles, and is professional, has a accountability mindset, driven by standards and protocols, believes in hospitality excellence and is reliable and trustworthy.
Restaurant Manager Duties and Responsibilities
• Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff
• Create employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing at all times
• Handle paperwork and other administrative duties
• Maintain stock levels and order supplies when necessary
• Manage the budget and keep relevant statistical and financial records
• Ensure that the restaurant complies with all health, safety, and licensing regulations
• Handle complaints, conflicts, questions, and suggestions from restaurant patrons and employees
Restaurant Manager Requirements and Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in a restaurant with at least 2 years in supervisory roles
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Flexible schedule
• Accountable and driven mindset
• Hospitality Mindset
Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week.
Compensation depends on your experience.
