Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries is currently seeking a Engineer 4 to join our Integrated Product Support (IPS) team! This position located in Hampton, VA! This is a great opportunity to join a fast paced team of Engineers, Designers, Planners and PMA's that support Facility operations at Newport News Shipbuilding.
This position requires an individual that is motivated and can work in a team environment to meet the needs of Facilities Engineering operations at NNS.
*AI *CI *MV *SG *TL *NEG *EP *TE What You Will Do Performs engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties: electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, and/or chemical.
Evaluate technical documentation for adherence to policies, plans, procedures, and management requirements.
Support a diverse portfolio of projects requiring the ability to establish priorities, interpret conflicting data, and redirect efforts with little forewarning.
Work independently and coordinate project work with little to no supervision.
What You Must Have 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.
Must have experience in electrical, machinery piping and structural disciplines Must have experience in ship checks/ship surveys.
Must have an engineering degree, prefer mechanical engineering.
Bonus Points For Having! Experience QA checking drawings for both piping and electric systems on ships Experience in programming PLCs Physical Requirements Office, industrial or shipboard environment.
Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
